Lionel Messi is one of the greatest footballers to grace the game of football if not the best. He has scored against almost every nation, every league, every team that he has played against and he has done so with relative ease and brilliance. With 100s of goals to his name, and just about half the number of assists, Messi is an icon of the sport.
As Barcelona ready themselves to face Italian club Inter Milan on Tuesday (Wednesday in Pakistan as the game would begin at 1am), we take a look at Messi’s goals against Italian clubs in European competitions throughout his career. Spoiler alert, these are some of the best goals you will see – just like any other goal Messi scores.
As the video shows, Messi has scored goals against AC Milan, Roma, Juventus but he has not scored against Inter Milan in three different occasions and given his injury and well-being, it is highly unlikely that Messi would make a fourth appearance against Inter and ultimately break the deadlock.
However, in football, you never know. Messi is included in the squad to face Inter and while he might not start the match, he definitely can play a few minutes.
